Melody Kee Celebrant

Hi, I’m Melody – your wedding celebrant I absolutely love getting to know couples – how you met, what made you click, the sweet, silly, unexpected bits of your journey together. I often find myself smiling ear to ear, hearing your love story and then sharing it with all your favourite people on your big day. Honestly, I think I sometimes get more excited than the couple themselves! I was born in Hong Kong and raised in New Zealand since I was one, so I’m fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, perfect if you’re planning a bilingual ceremony or want to honour your heritage in a special way. With my mum being a celebrant for over 25 years and my dad a church pastor, you could say celebrating love kind of runs in the family. Before becoming a celebrant, I worked in just about every corner of the wedding world, from decorating and planning to coordinating and photography. My husband is a photographer/videographer too, and we work together often, which means I totally get what’s needed to keep things flowing naturally, beautifully, and photo-ready. People describe me as bubbly, warm, professional and detail-focused, and I’d say that’s pretty accurate! I love bringing people together, planning meaningful moments, and making sure everything feels just right. When I’m not celebrating love stories, you’ll find me playing badminton or table tennis, running charity events, or binge-watching a good (usually romantic) drama series.
